In June 2024, the Gateway Region YMCA along with the St. Louis Cardinals and Cardinals Care, Boniface Foundation, and Miracle League, celebrated the grand opening of our new YMCA Adaptive Sports Complex, featuring Paul Goldschmidt Field.

The Gateway Region Y is proud to partner with Cardinals Care, Boniface Foundation, and Miracle League on the new Y Adaptive Sports Complex on the campus of the South County YMCA. The complex features a barrier-fee dugout, synthetic turf field, accessible field & walking track, and an accessible-sensory-rich playground. Plus, enjoy a spectator pavilion and concession stand! CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS

Most recently, foundations have been completed and both buildings of the complex have been constructed. Installation has started on the playground equipment and on the canopy over the field entrance and bleachers. See below for more updates!

August 2023

Construction officially began on the Adaptive Sports Complex site! Watch our first update from President and CEO, Tim Helm, and adaptive sports participant AJ!

Construction at the Adaptive Sports Complex site. Two brick buildings of the complex are built. The frame of the scoreboard is in place.

February 2024

Foundations are complete and both buildings of the complex have been constructed. The scoreboard frame has been installed in the outfield. The walking track between the baseball field and soccer field has been poured.

March 2024

Installation of playground equipment has started. Installation has started on the canopy over the baseball field entrance and bleachers.
