OUR MEMBERS' TOP 10 FAVORITE GROUP FITNESS CLASSES
(High Intensity Interval training), requires an all-out, one hundred percent effort. Through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods. This type of training increases and keeps your heart rate up, to burn more fat in less time.
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscle strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated exercises and standing support. This class can be adapted by the student depending on their fitness level and abilities. It is suitable for beginning to intermediate skill levels.
This class infuses Ballet, Pilates and Yoga movements that improve your balance, strength, flexibility and posture. Using small isometric movements you will target specific muscle groups to sculpt the entire body.
A total body workout using a variety of quicker paced exercises held in shallow water. This class combines light aerobic workout with muscle strengthening and flexibility. Participants may use equipment to enhance workout.
A beginner fitness class using slow moving exercises, performed in shallow water, to improve muscle tone and flexibility.
A strength training program where we integrate high-repetition movements, with light to moderate weights, to deliver a total body workout. Throughout this class, you’ll burn calories, build strength, and be motivated by popular music and an inspirational instructor. This class is not about building bulk; it’s about developing lean, toned muscles. You’ll use a step and weights during this program.
You will learn the basics of Kickboxing in this class and increase your cardiovascular endurance and strength. Working individually or in pairs for rounds of intense work in an easy to understand format. Great core workout too! Boxing gloves may be required.
Slow progression encouraging balance and harmony in your mind, body and spirit. A sequence of movements that combines meditation and tranquility.
Stretch combining traditional athletic stretching and yoga positions. Geared towards creating a more flexible and healthier you.
A low impact class designed to prevent injury while increasing strength and cardio levels, and improving balance.
