Traditional Youth Sports
The Y offers year-round team sports for kids of all ages and skill levels. Every child plays at least half of every game. We welcome Y members and non-members to participate, practice and play. Most sports are offered in 8-week sessions with one game and one practice per week for children K-8. Preschool sports typically have one practice per week with a scrimmage at the end of the season.
Sports offered at this branch include: Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Flag Football, Baseball, Softball, & T-Ball.
The values and skills learned early in life are vital building blocks for a successful adulthood, and we believe all kids deserve a strong start and a safe place to grow. Parents trust the Y’s child care programs to support and nurture their children from infancy through the teen years and help them become strong, capable and engaged young people.
Summer Camp
At Y camp, kids have the opportunity to explore, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, and make lasting friendships and memories. And, above all, it’s so fun! We offer camp throughout the entire summer! Our camps are designed for a wide variety of conventional interests that include arts & crafts, group games, nature exploration, swimming, field trips and more. Camps are themed weekly. Most camp activities are held outdoors with indoor activities provided based on the day and theme. Day campers are divided into groups by the grade level they are entering in the fall. Registration opens on December 26 for the following summer.
Y Club Before and After School Enrichment Program
In Y Club Before and After School Enrichment Programs, kids engage in physical, learning and imaginative activities that encourage them to explore who they are and what they can achieve. Get high-quality Y care right at your school and keep your child active physically, intellectually and socially the whole day.
School's Out Camp
We offer Schools Out Camp on the days school may not be in session. Campers have fun and stay busy with arts, crafts, group games, sports, swimming and much more!
At the Y, teens feel welcome and have proven success. We offer activities and programs for teens that provide them with academic assistance, employment opportunities and other life skills, all while having fun!
Leaders Club
Leaders Club is a program for teens, ages 13-18 that provides opportunities for personal and professional development. Teens plan out service projects, discuss upcoming events and trips, and vote on which types of development opportunities they would either like to attend or bring into their future meetings. Leaders elect officers on an annual basis who serve as club president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary. These officers have additional responsibilities and assist their advisor to support their peers and ensure the success of the club.
Youth and Government (YAG)
YAG provides students the opportunity to experience the democratic process and develop the leadership skills needed to become citizens of a participatory society.
Youth and Government promotes:
- An understanding of local, state, national, and international concerns
- Research, study, and debate on public issues
- Exploration of careers in public service
- Interaction with adult and youth leaders involved in decision-making processes
- An understanding of political systems and the forum they provide for the effective and peaceful resolution of issues and concerns
- Appreciation for the diversity of viewpoints on public issues and a respect for ideas, beliefs and the positions of others
- Demonstration of citizenship responsibilities and leadership roles essential to the health of a participatory democracy
The Y's success relies significantly on the generous volunteers who donate their time and talents to make a difference in the community. When you volunteer at the Y, you are joining more than 5,000 other volunteers taking an active role in bringing about meaningful, enduring change right in your own neighborhood.
The Y is a great place to build relationships and connect with members of your community. We offer day trips, monthly potlucks, clubs -- for games like bridge and chess, and so much more for those looking to get involved socially and make new friendships.
Kids Night Out
At the Y, we know parents need a break from time to time. With Kids Night Out, parents enjoy a night out while kids engage in fun and safe activities at the Y, including games, crafts, swimming, food, and more!
